Date Night
Two of you and one mystery, with stops chosen for conversation. It's romantic without being cheesy, and it ends somewhere worth staying.
Every street has a secret.
The city knows more than the map. Lore turns an ordinary walk into a story, with clues, characters and a route you'd never have found on your own. Starting in Cardiff.
Every city holds two versions of itself: the one you walk through every day, and the one hidden underneath. Lore is how you find the second one.
No screen to stare at all night. Your phone gives you one clue at a time, and the next part of the story unlocks only when you reach the right place.
Pick a story, a mood and how long you've got. A date night, an evening on your own, or a group of friends looking for trouble.
Each clue sends you to a real place: an alley, an arcade, a doorway you've walked past a hundred times. Get there, solve the puzzle waiting for you, and collect the next piece of the story.
The last puzzle points you to a local partner restaurant or bar, with a reward waiting when you show your screen. The story finishes over dinner.
Every quest is written for the people playing it, so a first date and a birthday group get very different evenings.

A slow, reflective walk for one: the city's history told like a novel, at your own pace, with nothing to prove.
Split into teams, each holding different clues. Nobody can finish alone, and everyone meets at the same final door.
A Cardiff mapmaker hid one deliberate mistake, a "trap street", in every map he drew. It was a message to the woman he lost. Three places in the city centre tell you her story. This is a short version of our first quest.
The full game has puzzles at each place, points, maps, real location unlocks, and a dinner reward at a partner venue at the end.
Finding your location…
Demo. Locations are simulated.
Every Lore quest finishes at a partner venue. Players solve the last puzzle, the map sends them to you, and they arrive hungry, happy and holding a reward you chose, like a free dessert or a drink on arrival. You only give the reward when they walk in. We're looking for a small number of independent Cardiff restaurants, bars and cafés for the first quests.
Become a partner venueWe're inviting a small number of Cardiff testers first. Leave your email and we'll be in touch.
Only a few testers at first, by invitation.
Thank you. Send the email that just opened and you're on the list.
